TAYLOR, Mich. – A 19-year-old guy died in Taylor when the dirt bike he was riding crashed into a car.
The accident took place at 7:48 p.m. on Monday at the crossing of S. Telegraph Road and I-94.
Based on what was learned so far, the man was riding a dirt bike that had been reported stolen from Shelby Township when he ran a red light and drove into a Ford Edge.
Police were told that the driver of the Ford stayed at the scene and tried to help the 19-year-old. When the kid got to the hospital, they said he was dead.
It doesn’t look like speed, drugs, or booze played a role in the crash.
