SUPERIOR, WIS. – In Wisconsin, police arrested a man who they say would ask women at different places for hugs and then touch them inappropriately.
A press release from the Superior Police Department says that a younger guy has recently been making women feel uncomfortable at several businesses in Superior.
Police say witnesses said the man would walk up to women and start talking to them, telling them something bad was happening in his life.
As he asked the woman to hug him, the man would touch her inappropriately at the same time.
In Wisconsin, it is a fourth-degree crime to touch someone inappropriately in a private area, whether it’s on the skin or over clothes, according to the Superior Police Department.
An arrest was made as a result of the department’s investigation, but the police think there may be more recent incidents that haven’t been recorded.
The Superior Police Department can be reached at 715-395-7234 by anyone who thinks they may have been a victim. There were no other information given.
