There are four payment dates for Social Security retirement beneficiaries. As a result, retirees can only get one of the four benefits. There are five possible ways to qualify.
That means there will be two sorts of receivers receiving the September 3 payment. If you did not collect Social Security before May 1997 and do not receive retirement or SSI benefits, you will receive your money beginning September 11.
Social Security payments are made three paydays after the third
The next Social Security check or direct deposit after September 3 will arrive on September 11, 2024. To get money on September 11, retirees who received benefits after April 30, 1997, and did not qualify for SSI on August 30, 2024, must have been born between January 1 and September 10.
If you are in a similar scenario and your birthday falls between 11 and 20, September 18 might be your paycheck. The maximum payment amounts are the same for all three paydays: $4,873. But, you must have:
To be eligible for Social Security, you must have earned the taxable limit for 35 years, worked for the same number of years, worked in SSA-covered employment, and applied at 70 years old.
If you were born between the 21st and 31st of September, your last payday will be on the 25th. All retirement benefit payments in the United States must be filed and approved. Those who have recently obtained 40 labor credits, or around ten years of experience, may receive a reward less than the average of $1,919.
Social Security Disability Insurance and SSI
SSDI payments will occur on the same paydays as retirement benefits. So, if you have disability insurance, you can receive paid on September 3, 11, 18, and 25.
The requirements for collecting this money will remain the same. So it will depend on whether you received benefits before May 1997 or not. SSI payments may also affect your Social Security Disability Insurance payment.
The Supplemental Security Income payment for September was sent on August 30, 2024, so you will have to wait until October 1 to receive it.
