Retirees in the United States could soon get their monthly payments. The United States government, through the Social Security Administration, will begin distributing direct payments and checks to eligible recipients.
There are two categories of retirees who will receive funds from the Administration in less than 24 hours. However, they must meet the following SSA conditions to obtain them.
$1,919 Social Security check on September 3
Retirees who receive Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) every month are eligible for the check or direct deposit on September 3, 2024.
The second set of retirees who will get a payment from the Administration are individuals who began collecting Social Security before May 1997. They will also receive funds in their bank accounts on September 3.
So, if you are in either of these two instances, SSA is about to make you a new payment within hours. Delays are not expected. However, if your bank does not complete your payment on schedule, please contact them. Do not report a delayed payment to the Social Security Administration until you have waited three mailing days.
What happens if I do not qualify for Social Security on September 3, 2024?
